The Nature Reserve of Irubelakaskoa can be found in the northeast of the Baztán valley, and its main characteristic is an alder grove nestling in the valleys of Aritzakun and Urrizate. It covers and area of 107 hectares. There is an abundance of ferns and bracken throughout the Reserve.
This is a specially protected area for birds.
